Site: +/- 1000 acres
Shailendra Group has assembled and acquired over 1,000 acres in this suburb of the greater Tampa area at the southeast corner of Interstate 75 and State Road 52. Currently, the site is in the DRI (Development of Regional Impact) process with the State of Florida which is expected to be approved by the first quarter of 2007. This project will include a regional outlet mall, big box retail, apartments, single family housing, hotels, and recreation areas. The project has obtained both regional and national attention for its mixed-use planning, and environmentally friendly approach to development. Many expect the Town Center Development to become the future “gateway” to the county, providing attractions and additional jobs for residents emerging from the surrounding communities.
